Reverse, Reset, Restore (1)

I normally do not watch movies on the plane, much preferring to read or to worship God. But this time I watched the entire Barbie movie!
Reverse
V: In the movie, to get back to Barbie Land, Barbie and Ken have to reverse the mode of transportation which they came by.
Ya I thought, by roller skates, then rocket, camper van, boat and car?
Stereotype Barbie returned to find that Barbie Land has been usurped by the men/patriarchy, making women completely subservient to the men. However, the heroine mother and daughter duo got her back on her feet to fight back, eventually defeating the men for the Presidency, and took back control of Barbie Land.
But Barbie realised the happiness she had previously wasn’t real at all. She also realised she had been unkind and insensitive to Ken’s feelings in her previous self-absorbed girl’s world.
Reset
So, she sets out to reset what was before, a fake world manufactured by the commercial world of men (Mammon), to one where men and women can live a good and fulfilling life, without dominating the other.
At one point, when President Barbie replies to a request for just one man to be on the Supreme Court, she agrees but only to start with a lower court first. I thought it was leaning a bit towards feminism.
V: Remember? The men have not been okay for a while now. So, they need time to transition back. Meanwhile women must step in and step up after this reversal and restore things back to God’s original intent and design.
So true, I thought of the Me-Too movement. This travesty against women by men has gone on for decades or even for generations in some countries, like India and in the Middle East. It will have to take some time to reverse all the prejudice, social injustice and violence against women.
Restore
The movie ends with self-discovery. In their foray into the “real world”, Ken finds purpose and meaning to his existence apart from Barbie. At the end, he wears a top that reads: Kenough. And Barbie goes to see a gynaecologist - to get a vagina!
Woah! Kenough of the gender and identity confusion! Perhaps, God will put an end to all the gender craziness that the woke and powerful West has pushed to the entire world and turn back the clock - and restore men and women to His original design, purpose and plan.
V: And then the men will be okay.
