Remember Your Righteous Ones

Last night, at about 1 am, as I happily handed over the final batch of writing on the series “Bringing Up Sara” before our retreat next week, my spirit was gripped by the parting words in the Epilogue, written nearly eight years ago:
BRINGING UP SARA EPILOGUE: 1111 Again:
“Towards the end of 2015, God showed me 1111 again, one of the signposts V has given us. This time, it appeared something like this:
To me, they seemed like two sets of doors. One on the left and one on the right. One door to exit from and one to enter into.
V then asked me to read verses 11:11 of the four gospels - the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. And led me to put each of these four words in each of the quadrant on a to-do list marked by 4 quadrants, the cross in the centre, together with one of the 11:11 verses in each:
Transit
Transmit
Transfer
Transform
And said,
“2016 is going to be a year of Transition, Transmission, Transference and Transformation. You are entering into a time of movement and change.”
Looking back, the past years indeed saw massive movements and changes of great proportions; financial crises, natural disasters, the Covid epidemic, wars and so on. Even on a personal level, many of our lives too were upended and challenged.
If not for God, I shudder to imagine how we could have safely navigated through it all.
Transition, Transmission, Transference and Transformation
Millions perished even as the world borders closed fast and hard during the Covid pandemic. Transiting into a post Covid world, repercussions from the closure of borders, coupled with the Ukraine and Russian war and the trade wars between China and the US, caused a huge bottleneck in transportation of goods and disruptions of supply chains.
We start to realise how interdependent and interconnected the world is after all the decades of globalisation, with manufacturing parts sourced from all over the world. This disruption ushered in a new era, a reversal, in the global economy, of de-globalisation.
As a result, the cost of housing, transport, services and food skyrocketed, and more and more people are desperate for jobs and income, especially in countries with little household savings. Businesses struggle to keep up and to survive. We also see the huge boom in another “industry” – the scam industry. More and more each day, we also see white collar crimes, huge and small, committed by young adults. Such is the desperate need and rush for quick money.
Technology has become indispensable in our everyday lives. Countries enact laws to allow people to work from home and more online meetings are held in place of in-person meetings. Food, goods and services are delivered more than ever before using mobile apps. The AI (Artificial Intelligence) app, ChatGPT, took the world by storm after its entry last year. This is only the beginning. What was fiction before, the prospect of human jobs being replaced by robots and AI, is taking on a new reality.
A Recipe for Disaster
There was a great transference of wealth after Covid. While this redistribution of wealth has been good for some, it was very bad for many poorer nations, who are often on the short end of it, while facing increasing intensity of climate related disasters. A humanitarian crisis of great proportions is looming and we will see a greater increase in migration of people trying to escape hunger and starvation. And with it, more civil and cross border unrest and incursions.
I cannot imagine how devastating it will be for our earth when the “Mother of All Wars”, World War 3, comes (I pray not). Some nations are heavily invested in weapons which are far more advanced and sophisticated, with the capability of inflicting massive and extensive damage, while other countries try to figure out which superpower to align themselves with.
It was such a relief and joy when V led me to read the book of Haggai chapter 2. When all seem bleak and everything seems to be heading for the inevitable, God tells me three times to be strong.
And assured me that everything is part of His great plan - that through this whole process of “Transition, Transmission, Transference and Transformation”, the world will see His glory once again, far greater than ever before.
And then there will be peace in His House, in His church.
And nations will come to His house to find closure and peace.
What a relief.
I look forward to the day when the world will be at peace again.
I started to pray:
Yes, Lord, everything that happened or is going to happen You already have forewarned. This transformation will also come to Your house. You will clean up your church through this process too. Show us what to do and help us to be a part of the transformation. And Lord, have mercy on us. If it is possible, I pray for that dreaded Mother of All Wars to be averted, and if not, spare our loved ones and our country from it.
As soon as I uttered my prayer, gently, I heard six familiar words in Chinese... the same words I heard in Beijing, China, on 11 March 2011, without knowing that a huge earthquake and tsunami was happening in Japan which led to the greatest nuclear disaster in the world. I was led to walk around the Temple of Heaven seven times, praying these six Chinese words the Holy Spirit gave me, over and over, with every step I took:
“记住你的义人”
Translation:
“Remember your righteous ones”.
Yes Father, you will remember your righteous ones so we have nothing to fear. All we need to do is to believe. We will see Your Glory and see peace restored on this earth. True and lasting peace.
