June 12, 2024
During my morning’s devotional, V tells me I am counting down to this transitory path of sorrow soon, from the preparatory stage to the offensive. Then we will be ready to wage war in this high-level spiritual warfare.
He then says to me:
Flee from everything and everyone who hinders
Then I suddenly hear in my spirit Ellie, my little two-year-old granddaughter, singing Princess Elsa’s song in Frozen:
“Let it go! Let it go!”
So, I sent this message to our members that during these last weeks of June we need to try to wrap up the decluttering and preparatory work; letting go of anything that gets in the way so that we may start to focus on the fight ahead. The Lord showed me three people I must remove from my heart and mind.
I asked the Lord for confirmation.
He gave me 1 Timothy 6 (NIV):
2-4 These are the things you are to teach and insist on. If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.
11-12 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called…
20-21 …guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have departed from the faith.
Prayer
Lord, yes I will let go and will flee from people and things that you have warned me to, especially the complicated and quarrelsome ones. Nothing shall occupy my mind or my time except You. I shall guard the peace and focus on completing the assignments You have given me.
Thank you for this Chinese idiom brought to my mind:
放下放心 (literal translation: put down, lay heart)
Meaning: Put it down and let go. Don’t worry, all will be ok.
Thank you, Lord.
To you I gladly let go and lay them all down.
They are all in your good hands now.
